OLATHE, Kan. - With 11 first-place votes, Oklahoma City finished the 2007 NAIA Women's Golf Regular season as the No. 1 ranked team, beating out Embry-Riddle (Fla.), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), Southern Nazarene (Okla.) and British Columbia in an unchanged top five.
The first change to the Top 10 came at No. 8 and No. 9, where Bethel (Ind.) moved into the No. 8 position, trading places with Savannah Art & Design (Ga.), who moved back a spot to No. 9. At No. 10, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) climbed two spots from its position last week at No. 12.
While no previously unranked squads cracked the Top 25 this week, Victoria (B.C.) made the poll's largest jump, moving eight spots from No. 21 to No. 13 in the season's final rating. Qualifiers for the 2007 NAIA Women's Golf Championship (May 15-18 in San Diego, Calif.) will be released Friday afternoon.
