SOUTH BEND, Ind.  - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the tournament field for the 2006 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships, hosted by the South Bend Regional Sports Commission.  The 12th annual event will be played at Blackthorn Golf Club May 23-26.  The 120-player field will contend for the individual national championship, while the 23 teams will battle for the team title.

Oklahoma City University will return to South Bend to defend their national title.   The Stars finished the 2005 national championships with a tournament record 1226, 49-strokes ahead of runner-up University of British Columbia.  Emily Albrektson, also from Oklahoma City, will look to be the first player to capture back-to-back medalist honors.
