OLATHE, Kan. - Fifteenth-seeded Northwood University (Fla.) kept things close at the NAIA National Soccer Championship Thursday night, but a late goal by Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) propelled the second-seeded Blue Raiders to a 2-0 win and a berth into the quarterfinals.

Lindsey Wilson got on the board first in the 23rd minute when Yolanda Hamilton would pass across the box to Loma Heaton to make the score 1-0.

After being on the defense for a majority of the contest, Northwood had a scoring opportunity in the 86th minute, but Lina Karlsson's shot was blocked and the Blue Raiders answered with a goal in the 90th minute to seal the win.

Northwood, the Region XIV champion, ends their season with a record of 17-1-0.

Lindsey Wilson (20-2-0) enters Saturday's 3 p.m. quarterfinal game where they will meet the winner of No. 7 Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) and No. 10 Saint Xavier (Ill.).
