KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The first regular season NAIA Women's Soccer Top 25 poll has a new team leading the pack. Azusa Pacific (Calif.) University received 10 first-place votes to earn the top spot bumping preseason favorite Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College to second-place. Lee (Tenn.) University outscored its first two opponents 13-0 en route to a 2-0 start. The Lady Flames received two first-place votes and moved up one spot to the No. 3 slot.

St. Xavier (Ill.) University and Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College both rounded out the top five. St. Xavier defeated its first three foes and moved from No. 6 to No.4. A tough 1-0 loss to Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) University dropped Martin Methodist three slots from the team's previous No. 2 ranking to No. 5.

The next Top 25 poll will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
