KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Khristina Greenwell of Brescia (Ky.) has been selected as the NAIA Women's National Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 2.
Greenwell, a sophomore goalkeeper from Louisville, had fifteen saves to lead Brescia to a 1-0 victory over in-state rival Kentucky Wesleyan. Greenwell played 90 minutes without allowing a goal, including saving two penalty kicks in the second half. She has now extended her shutout streak to 255 minutes dating back to last season.
Hannah Swift of Houghton (N.Y.) College has been selected as the NAIA Women's National Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, September 2.
