KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the second consecutive week, Azusa Pacific (Calif.) holds the No. 1 ranking in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women's Soccer Top 25 poll. The Cougars defeated Graceland (Iowa) 2-0 last Saturday and earning them 12 first-place votes.  Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Lee (Tenn.) each received one first-place vote and remained at their previous No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

 

The second regular-season poll produced a few changes in the top five. Point Loma Nazarene jumped from No. 6 to No 4. The Sea Lions defeated California Lutheran University 2-0 on the road last Wednesday and now stand at 3-0-1 for the season. St Xavier (Ill.) stayed undefeated at 5-0 and rounds out the top 5. The Cougars notched victories over Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) and Louisiana State-Shreveport at the St. Ambrose University (Iowa) Tournament last weekend.

The next Top 25 poll will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
