Janaina Novaes of Lee (Tenn.) has been selected as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women's National Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 9.
Novaes, a senior forward from Curitiba, Brazil, had four goals and eight points over the week. She had three goals to lead Lee to a 6-1 win over No.10 Auburn Montgomery. She followed that up with a goal in a 4-1 win over No.19 Houghton (N.Y.). She was also named the Southern States Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Jill Colfer - Martinson of Azusa Pacific (Calif.) has been selected as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women's National Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 9.
Colfer - Martinson, a three-time NAIA All-America goalkeeper from Sacramento, California, broke the Azusa Pacific career shutouts record last week. The 5-9 senior recorded back-to-back shutouts for the 36th and then record-breaking 37th time. Colfer - Martinson currently has a 282 consecutive scoreless minutes streak which dates back to Aug. 28 and has registered shutouts in 3 of Azusa Pacific's first 4 games.
