Janaina Novaes of Lee (Tenn.) has been selected as the NAIA Women's National Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 16.
This is the second week in a row that Novaes, a senior forward from Curitiba, Brazil, has earned the national honor. She continued her great season, scoring six goals in three games. Novaes had a goal in a 6-2 win over Reinhardt (Ga.) She followed that up with two goals against No. 1 Azusa Pacific (Cal.). She finished out the week with three goals and an assist, leading her team to a 4-1 win over No. 7 Martin Methodist (Tenn.). Novaes has now scored in every game this year. She now has fifteen goals in seven matches. With her three goals against Martin Methodist, Novaes moved into the top ten career goal scorers in NAIA history with 97 career goals.

Carrie Revlett of Lindsey Wilson (Ken.) was named the NAIA Women's National Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 16.
Revlett, a sophomore from Shelbyville, KY did not give up a single goal in two games against top ten opponents. She had five saves in a 1-0 win over No. 7 Martin Methodist (Tenn.). Against No. 1 Azusa Pacific (Cal.), Revlett recorded another five saves as the Blue Raiders upset Azusa Pacific 1-0. She has not allowed a goal in 515 minutes, including five consecutive shutouts.
