KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The fourth National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women's Soccer Top 25 poll has a new team holding down the top spot. Lee (Tenn.) received eight first-place votes and a total of 342 points top grab the honor. The Lady Flames defeated the previous No. 1 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) 2-0 last week for the first time in school history moving them to top of the polls. Azusa Pacific (Calif.) earned five first-place votes and a total of 342 points and remained at the No. 2 position. Lindsey's loss to Lee dropped them two spots to No. 3. The Blue Raiders received one first-place vote and a total of 332 points.
Undefeated Carroll (Mont.), which stands at 11-0-0, moved two spots to No. 4. Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) fell one spot rounding out this week's top-five.
The fifth regular season Top 25 poll (sixth overall) will be released on Wednesday, Oct. 3.
