Bridget Brotherton of Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) was selected as the NAIA National Women's Soccer Player of the Week, for the week ending September 24th, 2006.
Brotherton, a sophomore forward from Alta Loma, California, led Azusa Pacific to wins over No. 6-ranked Lee University (Tenn.) and No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) at the Lee University Lady Flames Classic in Cleveland, Tenn. Brotherton scored a pair of goals to give the Cougars a 2-0 advantage in their 3-2 overtime win over host Lee, then came up with the equalizer with less than 4 minutes to play to spark a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Lindsey Wilson.
