Bethany Kowalczyk of Houghton College (N.Y.) has been selected as the NAIA Women's Soccer National Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 1, 2006.
Kowalczyk, a junior forward from Waterford, Pa.., returned from a two-game absence due to a knee sprain, and has scored 7 goals in 4 games since returning. She is currently second at Houghton with 72 career goals (all-time school record is 82).
