Women’s Soccer Game of the Week

· No. 18 Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) at No. 6 California Baptist · Oct. 15 · 3 p.m. PST · Lancer Field ·

This week’s Women’s Soccer Game of the Week is a clash of Golden State Athletic Conference rivals as the Point Loma Nazarene Sea Lions meet up with the Lancers of California Baptist.  Point Loma enters the match at 8-2-2 and ranked No. 18 in the country.  Junior forward/midfielder Kari Moore leads the Sea Lions in scoring, netting six goals so far this season.  Point Loma is led by head coach Tim Hall.

 

Cal Baptist comes into this game at 9-3 and ranked No. 6.  The Lancers are led in scoring and assists by sophomore midfielder/forward Jacquelyn Witz, with eight and four respectively.  Cal Baptist is coached by Kristen St. Clair, who is in her second year with the school.

 

These two teams last met in the NAIA Region II Playoffs last year.  Cal Baptist won the game 2-0.  Jacquelyn Witz and Lizzy Bendrick each scored a goal in that game.
