LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- In the Covenant (Ga.) Lady Scots' biggest win of the season, senior forward Kalie Estrada had the biggest match of her career. Made extra special by the fact that it came on Covenant's Senior Day, the 5'1" striker set the school women's soccer record for goals scored in a career at 58 Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 14). Her accomplishments occurred against Judson (Ala.) College that ended with a score of 13-0.
Estrada broke the record with a goal that put the Lady Scots up 2-0 early, but she did not stop there. She went on to extend her newly-held record by scoring two more times, all in the first half. She was part of an offense to jump out to a 9-0 lead at the half.
After her record-breaking performance, Estrada commented, "It feels really good because it's kind of a weight off my shoulders. It was fun doing it on Senior Day...I couldn't have done it without my teammates."
The Lady Scots next match comes at home against Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 21st.
