Nov. 4, 2008
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the fifth straight week, No. 1 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) sits on top of the pack in the ninth regular season edition of the 2008 NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, announced today (Nov. 4). The Blue Raiders recorded 582 points and 15 of the possible 21 first-place votes. Winners of 10 straight, the Blue Raiders have been dominant during their current winning streak. They have out-scored the opposition by a 62-3 margin and have seven shut outs during the streak. LWC has one regular-season match to play before opening up Mid-South Conference Tournament action – it travels to St. Catharine (Ky.) today.
Speaking of being on a hot streak, No. 2 Lee (Tenn.) has rattled off 11 straight wins and blanked seven opponents during that stretch. The Flames posted 572 points in the poll and notched four first-place votes. No. 3 Martin Methodist (Tenn.) and No. 4 Concordia (Ore.) both moved up one slot from last week. That movement was made possible after No. 5 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) lost at home to Vanguard (Calif.) 3-1 on Saturday (Nov. 1). Concordia earned the remaining two first-place votes and are 17-0-1 on the year.
Five programs head into the final week of the regular season or their respective conference tournaments with undefeated records, Concordia, No. 6 Graceland (Iowa), No. 8 Trinity Christian (Ill.), No. 16 McKendree (Ill.) and No. 23 Marian (Ind.).

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groups. The 10th regular season Top 25 poll will be announced on Nov. 11.
