Daytona Beach, Fla. – The second game of the day featured eleventh-seeded Simon Fraser (B.C.) and defending national champion Martin Methodist (Tenn.). 

Martin Methodist junior midfielder Shannon Walter netted the lone goal of the first half on a Simone Souza assist.

The second half was a classic defensive battle with great play from both goalkeepers.  Both teams would have chances, but neither was able to put the ball in the net and Martin Methodist came away with the 1-0 victory.

Martin Methodist improves to 20-1 on the year while Simon Fraser ends the season at 12-7.

The RedHawks advance to the Quarterfinals and will take on third-seeded Lee (Tenn.) at 1:30 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
