Lindsey Wilson advances to the Semifinals with a 1-0 win over Graceland

Lindsey Wilson advances to the Semifinals with a 1-0 win over Graceland

Dec. 3, 2008

Daytona Beach, Fla. – Game three of the Quarterfinals saw the top seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) Blue Raiders and undefeated Graceland (Iowa) Yellowjackets battle to determine who would move on to the Semifinal Round.

Neither team was able to score in the first half and went into halftime with zeroes on the scoreboard.

It was more of the same in the second half until Lindsey Wilson sophomore forward Kimmia Parker connected on a penalty shot in the 77th minute, giving the Blue Raiders a 1-0 lead.  That would prove to be the final score as Lindsey Wilson handed Graceland their first loss of the year.

Lindsey Wilson improves to 21-1 on the year while Graceland ends their season at 19-1-2.

The Blue Raiders advance to the Semifinals and will play Concordia (Ore.) at 5 p.m. (EST) on Friday, Dec. 5.
