Championship Information

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 2008 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Softball National Championship will be held May 16-21 at Wilson Morgan Softball Complex in Decatur, Alabama.  The 28th Annual Championship will be hosted by City of Decatur Parks and Recreation department.

All 20 qualified teams are placed into four pools and will play a round robin pool play on Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17.  The top two teams from each pool will advance to the eight-team double elimination bracket, which begins Monday, May 19 and will end with the championship game on Wednesday, May 21.

In 2007 Oklahoma City defeated Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.), 7-2, to capture its eighth national championship, most by any team.
