KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Auburn University at Montgomery (Ala.) starts out the season as No. 1 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Preseason Women's Tennis Top 25 Coaches' Poll, announced today (Feb. 6). It should be no surprise for the Lady Senator's as AUM was the top team in the country for all seven polls last year and has won the last four NAIA Tennis Championships. AUM received 10 of the 12 first-place nods and 297 total points.
2007 and 2006 national runner-up Fresno Pacific (Calif.) carries the No. 2 preseason ranking followed by No. 3 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), No. 4 Vanguard (Calif.) and No. 5 Azusa Pacific (Calif.).
