KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Auburn University at Montgomery (Ala.) holds at No. 1 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Women's Tennis Top 25 Coaches' Poll, announced today (March 5). AUM stands 6-0 and has notched the top spot in all three polls for the 2008 season. The Lady Senator's look to continue their recent dominance in women's tennis and extend their five straight NAIA Championships.
The next seven teams all stay put with 2007 national runner-up Fresno Pacific (Calif.) at No. 2, followed by No. 3 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), No. 4 Vanguard (Calif.) and No. 5 Savannah College of Art & Design (Ga.).
Two teams slide into the Top 25 this week, No. 21 Northwood (Fla.) and No. 24 Oklahoma Baptist.
The third NAIA Women's Tennis Top 25 Poll is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, March 19.
