Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) eased past Savannah Art & Design (Ga.) in a rain-soaked quarterfinal that saw Fresno Pacific (Calif.), Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) also advance into the round of four at the Mobile Tennis Center.
Lindsey Wilson was the only semifinalist to give up a match point in the quarters, topping Vanguard 5-2, while Fresno Pacific got by Berry in an abbreviated 5-0 match to advance.
Freed-Hardeman rounded out the semifinal bracket with its 5-0 win over Azusa Pacific (Calif.). The semifinal round, which is slated for a 1 p.m. start in Mobile, features Freed-Hardeman taking on second-seeded Fresno Pacific, while top ranked AUM goes up against upstart Lindsey Wilson, who climbed through the NAIA Top 25 midway through the season, establishing itself in the Top 10 as the season came to a close.
