KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The second NAIA volleyball ratings came out on Wednesday and there were no surprises in the top three spots as Fresno Pacific (Calif.) remained the top ranked team, followed by Concordia (Calif.) at second and California Baptist in third.
For the second straight week Fresno Pacific received all 14 first place votes and 350 total points after defeating two top-25 teams last week. The Sunbirds are undefeated on the season with 9-0 record.
Concordia remained at No. 2 with 336 points after winning all 10 matches through Sunday, Sept. 9th while California Baptist stayed at No. 3 with 317 points. National American (S.D.) moved into top five at No. 4 with 302 points after dropping to sixth last week. Biola (Calif.) compiled 299 points and remained at No. 5.
Three teams made their first appearance into the regular season ratings this week. Morningside (Iowa) at No. 18, Madonna (Mich.) at No. 23 and Texas Brownsville at No. 25 moved into the top 25.
The next regular season poll will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
