KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Fresno Pacific (Calif.) Sunbirds captured all 13 first place votes for the third straight week to continue their dominance at No. 1 in the third National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) volleyball ratings.
The Sunbirds remained perfect on the season with 12-0 record through matches of Sunday, Sept. 16. Fresno Pacific picked up three victories last week including a win against NCAA Division I Cal State-Bakersfield.
California Baptist moved up a spot to two after a big win against then-No. 2 Concordia (Calif.). CBU also defeated NCAA Division II No. 1 Cal State University-San Bernardino last week and compiled 312 total points in the poll. Concordia dropped to No. 3 with 298 points. National American (S.D.) and Biola (Calif.) stayed at No. 4 and No. 5 with 282 and 276 points respectively.
The next regular season poll will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
