KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Daniela Oliveira of National American (S.D.), Kayla Van Duyn of California Baptist and Jenny Hiykel of South Dakota Tech have been selected as the NAIA Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week respectively for the week ending Sunday, September 16, 2007.

Oliveira, a junior outside hitter from Campinas, Brazil, helped No. 4 National American (S.D.) to four wins including three against top-25 teams last week.  She averaged 6.76 kills and recorded eight solo blocks during the week.  Oliveira also posted 33 digs last week and was named Hastings Tournament Most Valuable Player.

Van Duyn, a senior setter from Ripon, Calif., averaged 10.67 assists in three matches for No. 3 California Baptist last week.  Van Duyn helped the team to three victories including wins against No. 2 Concordia University (Calif.) on the road and NCAA Division II No. 1 Cal State-San Bernardino at home.

Hiykel, a sophomore defensive specialist from Omaha, Neb., averaged 8.62 digs in three matches for South Dakota Tech last week.  She had just three reception errors on 97 attempts.  Hiykel also had three service aces during the week and posted 42 digs in a 3-2 win against Chadron State.
