KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Fresno Pacific (Calif.) Sunbirds beat three top-25 teams last week and garnered all 14 first place votes to continue as the No. 1 team in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) volleyball ratings.
Fresno Pacific defeated Biola (Calif.) at home before knocking off National American (S.D.) on a neutral site and Vanguard (Calif.) on the road. The Sunbirds have won all 17 matches this season.
California Baptist remains in the second position with 336 total points after out-lasting Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) and San Diego Christian. Concordia (Calif.) stayed at No. 3 with 322 points. Biola moved up a spot to No. 4 from last week after a victory over then-No. 4 National American and compiled 308. National American fell to No. 5 with 281 points.
The next regular season poll will be released on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
