Katelyn Barnes of Southern Wesleyan University (S.C.), Angela Montreuil of King College (Tenn.) and Annie Jankowski of the College of St. Mary (Neb.) were selected as NAIA National Volleyball Player, Libero and Setter of the Week for the week ending Sunday October 8th, 2006.
Barnes, a freshman outside hitter from Gilbert, Arizona, was named MVP of the Crabtree Classic as she led the Warriors in kills in all 4 matches. She hit .360 for the tournament and hit .322 in the Warriors 5-0 week. She had 103 kills on the week.
Montreuil, a senior libero from Knoxville, Tennessee, averaged 10.29 digs/game for the week, and 9.5 digs/game in KC's win over Virginia Intermont.
Jankowski, a junior setter from Omaha, Nebraska, moved up to #3 all-time at St. Mary's in assists this week. She averaged 16.67 assists/game on the week with a 3-0 win over Peru State University (Neb.).
