KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Nancy Nyongesa of Dickinson State (N.D.), Rachel Gosselink of Northwestern (Iowa) and Courtney Yonke of Lubbock Christian (Texas) have been selected as the NAIA Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week respectively for the week ending Sunday, October 21, 2007.

 

Nyongesa, a senior outside hitter from Bungoma, Kenya, helped Dickinson State to two road wins last week.  She averaged 5.86 kills and 3.0 digs per game while recording 0.516 kill percentage, two service aces and seven block assists during the week.  Beheler posted a double-double with 23 kills and 12 digs against Jamestown.  She also recorded her 2,000 career kill during the week.

 

Gosselink, a sophomore setter from Urbandale, Iowa, helped Northwestern (Iowa) to three road wins while averaging 14.0 assists last week.  She also added five service aces, six block assists and 3.5 digs per game.  Gosselink recorded two double-doubles during the week with 54 assists and 17 digs against No. 12 Morningside and 64 assists and 17 digs against Doane College.

 

Yonke, a sophomore libero from Lubbock, Texas, helped Lubbock Christian (Texas) to three road wins last week while averaging 8.27 digs per game.  She had 79 service reception attempts with just one error for the week. On the season Yonke leads the team with 7.1 digs per game and 730 digs in 103 games.
