KANSAS CITY, Mo. - LaKenya Wrightsil of Martin Methodist (Tenn.), Rachel Brown of Southwestern Assemblies (Texas) and Jennifer Sloan of Mountain State (W.Va.) have been selected as the NAIA Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week respectively for the week ending Sunday, October 28, 2007.

Wrightsil, a senior outside hitter from Big Spring, Texas, helped Martin Methodist to two wins last week.  She averaged 7.67 kills and 5.33 digs per game while recording 0.494 kill percentage and five service aces during the week.  Wrightsil posted two double-doubles with 28 kills and 14 digs against Union University and 18 kills and 18 digs against Cumberland University.

Brown, a sophomore setter from New Braunfels, Texas, helped Southwestern Assemblies (Texas) to three road wins while averaging 14.8 assists last week.  She also added three service aces, the solo blocks and 4.3 digs per game.  Brown recorded two double-doubles during the week with 42 assists and 12 digs against LeTourneau and 51 assists and 20 digs against the College of the Southwest.

Sloan, a senior libero from Beckley, W.Va., helped Mountain State (W.Va.) to five wins last week while averaging 10.7 digs per game.  She broke the NAIA single season digs record with 1,263 this season.  Sloan has recorded 33 matches with 20 plus digs this year and is averaging 9.29 digs per game.
