KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Amanda Cook of St. Mary (Neb.), Kali Angerman of Morningside (Iowa) and Cassi Hobbs of Union (Tenn.) have been selected as the NAIA Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the Week respectively for the week ending Sunday, November 4, 2007.
Cook, a sophomore outside hitter from Bellevue, Neb., helped St. Mary (Neb.) to two wins last week. She averaged 6.57 kills and 4.71 digs per game while recording 0.302 kill percentage and seven service aces during the week. Cook posted two double-doubles with 30 kills and 21 digs against Peru State and 16 kills and 12 digs against Grand View. She recorded her 1,000 career dig against Peru State.
Angerman, a junior setter from Sioux City, Iowa, helped Morningside to two wins while averaging 15.25 assists last week. She also added five service aces and 3.6 digs per game. Brown recorded two double-doubles during the week with 81 assists and 19 digs against Briar Cliff and 41 assists and 10 digs against Midland Lutheran.
Hobbs, a junior libero from Tulare, Calif., helped Union (Tenn.) to two road wins last week while averaging 9.75 digs per game. She had just two reception errors in 49 attempts. On the season Hobbs leads the team with 582 digs and 7.2 digs per game in 81 games played.
