COLUMBIA, Mo. - Top seed Biola won all three matches in pool play including a five-game thriller against the host Colombia (Mo.) to advance to the championship bracket at the 28th Annual NAIA Volleyball National Championship.  Columbia, Campbellsville (Ky.) and Mobile (Ala.) are all tied with 1-2 record and will have a play-off Friday morning to determine the second team out of Pool D.

After cruising through the first two matches, Biola was tested in the third match by the host.  Four players recorded 10 or more kills for the Lady Eagles including Meghan Warkentin with 26 to lead Biola to a five game win (30-22, 29-31, 30-22, 19-30, 15-12).  Jessica Buffum, Maggie McGill and Kristen Peterson all had 10 kills.

Columbia rebounded after dropping its first match to Campbellsville on Wednesday to defeat Mobile, 3-0 (30-27, 30-26, 30-26) on Thursday before the loss to Biola.  Campbellsville dropped both matches while Mobile spilt its matches on Thursday.

On Friday, Mobile will take on Campbellsville in a one-game (30 points) play-off at 9 a.m.  The winner will face Columbia at 9:45 a.m. in a one-game (30 points) play-off for a chance to advance to the championship bracket.
