COLUMBIA, Mo. - No. 1 Fresno Pacific (Calif.) defeated Texas at Brownsville in three games (30-17, 30-24 and 30-21) in the second quarterfinal match and advanced to the semifinals for the second straight season.  The Sunbirds will face No. 4 Biola (Calif.) at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Fresno Pacific had three players reach double digits in kills.  Marin Canaday led the way with 16 while Fabiana Leomil and Thais Julio added 10 a piece.  Shu Liu assisted on 46 kills and Tiffany Marinos led the Sunbirds with 10 kigs.  Leomil also recorded nine digs.  The Sunbirds will improve to 35-1 overall and will face the team (Biola) that handed them the only loss during the season in the next round.

Talita Milasauskas had a team best 14 kills for Texas at Brownsville.  Claudia Alarcon added 11 kills and Dainarah recorded 34 assists.  The Scorpions will end their season with a 36-9 overall record.
