SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The top two teams in Pool F won their matches on the second day at the 29th Annual NAIA Volleyball National Championship Pool Play. Georgetown dropped the first two games to Indiana Tech, 23-25, 21-25, but won the next three, 25-19, 29-27, 16-14 for a 3-2 victory. California Baptist defeated College of Idaho, 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 18-25, 25-18).
Five players recorded double digit kills for Georgetown led by Allie Bertke with 18. Kristy Hock and Erica Janszen each added 16 while Jessica Hoeh and Cassie Moore recorded 12 kills each. Amy Barmore was the leader on defense with 25 digs while Jenna Gronotte posted 63 assists. Ashley Hamilton had 21 kills and 23 digs for Indiana Tech.
Noelle Dyk led California Baptist with 16 kills while Colleen Sweeney and Fei Shi each had 13 kills. Fei also had 18 digs and Katrina Clark led the team with 21 digs. Kristin Henning led College of Idaho with 12 kills and Whitney Owen led the match with 22 digs.
