SIOUX CITY, Iowa – No. 2 Biola (Calif.) cruised to a three-game victory over Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) while Lubbock Christian (Texas) knocked off No. 11 Madonna (Mich.) in a five-game thriller on the second day of the 2008 NAIA Volleyball National Championship Pool Play.

Biola won 25-16, 25-13, 25-13 led by Jessica Buffum and Meghan Warkentin with 13 kills each.  Katie Stevens had 17 digs while Christina Perkins recorded 23 assists and Abbie Wright had 17 assists.  Juli Maciboba had a team-high nine kills for Lewis-Clark State.

Five player recorded in double figures in kills for Lubbock Christian.  Kelsey Odell led the way with 18 kills and Suzanne Childress had 16 kills and 16 digs.  Mary McGinnis had a match-high 26 kills for Madonna.  Lubovj Tihomirova added 22 kills and Whitney Fuelling posted 19 kills.
