SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Concordia (Calif.) and Northwestern (Iowa) from Pool C advanced to the single-elimination bracket at the 29th Annual NAIA Volleyball National Championship. Concordia won all three and won the pool while Northwestern posted a 2-1 record.
Concordia cruised to a three-game victory over Northwestern, 25-22, 25-11, 25-17. Amber Ridens led the team with 11 kills while Cassie Ells and Traci Weamer added 10 each. Rylee Hulstein led Northwestern with eight kills and 10 digs.
Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) finished third in the pool with a win over Walsh (Ohio) 25-18, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21. ONU finished the pool play with 1-2 record and ends the season with 38-11 record while Walsh dropped all three matches in pool play and dropped to 30-13.
Tara Schmidt led ONU with 12 kills while Sara Byrne added 11 and Erin Sikora added 10. Erica Parker led the match with 16 kills for Walsh while Megan McDonald added 14 kills.
