SIOUX CITY, Iowa – No. 7 California Baptist cruised to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-14 and 32-30), win over Lubbock Christian (Texas) in the first quarterfinal match.  The Lancers will advance to the semifinals on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. against the winner of Fresno Pacific (Calif.) and Georgetown (Ky.).

Fei Shi led California Baptist with 19 kills while Noelle Dyk added 16 kills and Colleen Sweeney chipped in 11 kills.  Katrina Clark led the match with 20 digs and Shi added 13 digs and four service aces.  Mical Bell had 31 assists.

Suzanne Childress led Lubbock Christian with nine kills and nine digs.  Kelsey Odell added eight kills and 12 digs while Courtney Yonke led the team with 18 digs.

The Lady Chaparrals will end their season with a 36-7 overall record.
