SIOUX CITY, Iowa – No. 1 Fresno Pacific (Calif.) defeated Georgetown (Ky.) in three games (25-17, 25-22 and 25-9) in the second quarterfinal match and advanced to the semifinals for the third straight season.  The Sunbirds will face No. 7 California Baptist at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Five players recorded seven or more kills for Fresno Pacific led by Thais Julio with 13 kills.  Brittany Pierce also reached double digits with 12 kills.  Keke Wang added nine while Fabiana Leomil had eight and Shu Liu had seven kills.  Tiffany Marinos and Pierce each had 12 digs while Liu posted a team-high 44 assists.

Kristy Hock led Georgetown with eight kills and Jessica Hoeh added seven kills. 

The Tigers will end their season with a 36-8 overall record.
