KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the third consecutive week, Simon Fraser (B.C.) is the unanimous No. 1 team in the nation. The Clan received 210 total points and all seven first-place votes in this week's NAIA Women's Cross Country Top 25 Poll. The team has been the country's top team in every poll this season. Over the past week, the team won the Evergreen Open in Olympia, WA.
Milligan (Tenn.) is the No. 2 team again this week, receiving 201 total points. Azusa Pacific comes in at third for the third week in a row, as the Cougars had 197 points. Indiana Wesleyan and Cedarville (Ohio) round out the top five, earning 187 and 184 points respectively.
Northwestern (Iowa) enters the Top 25 for the first time this season, tying with Westmont (Calif.) at No. 24. The Red Raiders won the Briar Cliff Invite over the weekend. Freshman runner Olivia Johnson led the team, finishing in first place individually with a time of 18:24. Teammates Charity Miles and Sara Hess also finished in the top ten for the Raiders.
The next Top 25 Poll will be released on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
