KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Top 10 this week remains exactly the same as it was in last week's NAIA Women's Cross Country Top 25 Poll. Simon Fraser (B.C.) continues to hold on to the No. 1 spot. The Clan receives 210 total points, including all seven first-place votes to stay on top. The team participated in the BC Cross Country Champions, an event in which participants run based on grade level. Captain Kristen Kolstad won the senior women's race while teammate Jessica Smith won the junior women's title.
Milligan (Tenn.) is the No. 2 team again this week, receiving 200 total points. Azusa Pacific comes in at third for the sixth week in a row, as the Cougars had 197 points. Cedarville (Ohio) and Indiana Wesleyan round out the top five, earning 189 and 181 points respectively.
There are two new teams to the Top 25 this week. Park (Mo.) comes in at No. 23 while Northwestern (Iowa) fills the No. 24 slot. Park won the Midland Conference Championship over the past week with Ramona Nicholls earning MCAC Runner of the Year with a first-place finish. Northwestern finished third at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship. Red Raiders freshman Olivia Johnson finished first individually.
The final Top 25 Poll will be released on Monday, Nov. 5.
